In the year 2100, a
family went out into space for a vacation exactly one
light-minute away from home. They used an advanced telescope
to look at their clock. The child, Sam, was so exact at time.
If it's 9:59, he stays up one minute until ten. One night, Sam
looked through the telescope and saw the clock showed 9:59.
But his dad said it was ten and he had to go to sleep. How is
that possible?
The clock back at home was their ONLY time source.
A young girl left her house in tears after a
confrontation with her parents. She had with her as many of
her belongings as she could quickly throw into a bag. Her
friends came and picked her up and they drove out into the
middle of nowhere. They had all left behind their comfortable
houses, and traded them in for nearly nothing. They had to
warm up what little food they had over a fire, and went to bed
exhausted. The next day, they each went home to their parents
talking about what a wonderful time they had, and asking if
they could do it again soon.
